my apartment.. my awesome coworkers.... sigh :/ as much as i hate this place, it will never change the great people that i have met there and i am thankful for that. they changed my life!
its funny how you can hate something but then when it comes to an end you're always sad. every little thing we go through changes us. just think of all that lies ahead :)
I can imagine how relieved you are to keep your job--it may not be ideal, but at least you have a paycheck. I hope your friends are able to land back on their feet quickly.
My step-dad's company went through a huge series of layoffs at work, and he said that it was a lot harder than he thought to see everyone go. It just reminds you of everything you've been through together! Hopefully you'll stay in touch and get to hear when everyone lands on their feet :)
It has to be quite bittersweet to still have your job, but watch so many people you care about leave. =/ And leaving behind an apartment filled with memories is never easy either. So sorry that all this has happened to you at once.
Your apartment is great. You will surely meet more people like that...though none can replace them but you will have them and continue meeting them. Thats life. Good you enjoyed barista...i wish they had been around for you.
Work has this curious side to it.. You hate it while ur there and just when you are about to leave, the wonderful things you took for granted come alive and spread the joy like never before. I think though its true for almost anything one can think about, work has a way of accentuating that feeling.
But hey those look like a very happy set of memories.. so who's complaining :P
