You won't regret ...You should so totally do it! You won't regret it at all. In fact, you'd probably regret it more if you didn't go. Will you return the same? No, probably not. But I would venture a guess to say that you'll return a better, more confident version of yourself.Jennifer M.https://www.blogger.com/profile/04962587342835841240noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6567562863467636840.post-19956124050150718672011-05-27T14:10:08.944-04:002011-05-27T14:10:08.944-04:00thanks mercedes... u are definitely 100% rightthanks mercedes... u are definitely 100% rightTeach.Workout.Lovehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06093196435468090916noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6567562863467636840.post-37255286492481340002011-05-24T20:47:14.885-04:002011-05-24T20:47:14.885-04:00I'm late here, but it's more than just 17 ...I'm late here, but it's more than just 17 people. It's 19. Me and YOU:

"but I have never up and left my life for months at a time."

I did it once. For a year. In Hawaii. Wasn't easy but I have zero regrets and I'm now at a stage in my life where I wouldn't be able to do something like that again.

"Would this really be a scary thing?"

Yes. But if life isn't a little scary then it isn't a LOT of fun.

"Would I still come back and go back to my life as normal?"

Maybe...but if you didn't it would be because this was RIGHT for you.

"It is never easy to pick up from all your life and your friends and family and go away alone."

No...it isn't easy. Nothing worth doing is all that easy though...

"But, then again, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity, and if I don't do it soon, I will most likely never do it and will most definitely regret it."

Yup!

Much Love,
MercedesMiss Mercedeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06349482134336471954noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6567562863467636840.post-40050430439796090092011-05-24T16:11:55.002-04:002011-05-24T16:11:55.002-04:00LOL wow 17 people said go and no one said no!

But then again, a lot of me...I think you should go. But then again, a lot of me is saying that just because I am jealous, because moving and teaching abroad for a while is one of my dreams too ;)

I think if you regret not doing it at the moment, will you always regret it? That's something you have to consider. Yes, it's daunting - but then again, if you go out there and hate it, couldn't you just move back again early? It'll probably have a lot of ups and a lot of downs, and probably will change you a fair bit, but I bet it'll be something you'll never forget.

Claire x
http://tea-breaks.blogspot.comClaire Mariehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09953643799017937586noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6567562863467636840.post-32889314594323657502011-05-20T12:34:00.458-04:002011-05-20T12:34:00.458-04:00If going to Costa Rica is something that you'v...If going to Costa Rica is something that you've always wanted to do, then release all doubts and go! I had similar fears about picking up and moving cross-country for grad school and then I was terrified about moving to Honduras for two years for the Peace Corps, but they were both SUCH life-changing experiences that I have never regretted either decision for a second. And after grad school and Peace Corps were done, I moved right back home and resumed my life with the same friends. It was like I had never left - I was a completely different person and viewed the world differently, but I still have the same friends and family. Remember - don't let fear stand in the way of your dreams. What would you do if you could take fear out of the equation? Your answer should be what you do!!Kattrinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17468694888034192536noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6567562863467636840.post-83792204201329302352011-05-20T09:44:26.253-04:002011-05-20T09:44:26.253-04:00GO! :o) 6 month is hard to perceive when looking f...GO! :o) 6 month is hard to perceive when looking forward..... but they will over so fast, that you wonder if it has really been six months.
Will you be the same?
