The Price of Beauty on VH1. I really don't like Jessica Simpson all that much. BUT I really like her idea for her new show! I think that is a very unique idea, and although it probably wasn't her idea, i still admire it.
Her and two others travel to different countries to explore how different cultures define the meaning of beauty and the crazy lengths women go to in order to achieve it. I definitely think that is a great idea for a show. Although it would be even better for a book. I almost wish I thought of that idea!
Almost every culture is completely different from ours and the things that women have to go through are so mind altering that some of it you wouldn't even believe. Especially since its 2010 and you would think that things like that don't exist anymore but then it turns out it is still out there and you would never know living here in the US.
So I suggest you watch it. Although yes its Jessica Simpson and yes its VH1 and yeah, it could definitely be better if it was a different actress, BUT it is what it is and that's the show!

I have never seen this show - but it is so true... from one place to the next the definition of beauty is SO very different. I am going to have to see if we get this show somewhere here in Canada!
I'd like to check it out as well, as much as I am not a Jessica Simpson fan. Looks interesting!
I really want to see this show but I don't have cable right now! :( I'll have to catch up soon, it is such a great idea for a show. I wish there were more shows that had meaning and not just trash.

Huh, this actually looks interesting! Glad you recommended it; otherwise I never would have thought another Jessica Simpson reality show was worth giving a chance ;)
I saw the episode where she went to Thailand and I actually thought it was really great. I have no feelings whatsoever about JS, but I think the premise is fantastic.
I haven't caught this show yet but it sounds intriguing. I'm not a big Jessica Simpson fan either but this has gotta be cool what she'd find!

I watched the first episode, and for some reason haven't realized (up until just now) that my Tivo hasn't been recording it! Just fixed it, haha. But I loved the first episode...very eye-opening! And quite surprising since it is Jessica Simpson. But I found that I liked her a lot more after watching.
I've been watching this show like crazy! I love it! I'm so glad Jessica Simpson is doing something this COOL.
I've seen two episodes and actually really like it. I agree with you that a different actress would be better, but the show itself is really interesting.
I never watched it but I'm interested. I think the concept of the show is really good and I find a whole new respect for Jessica Simpson for it.
My favorite part was when they were meditating with the monk and she just broke out in giggles. Hilarious.
I really want to see this show! I am a huge fan of JS and am bummed that I don't have this station so I am definitely going to have to watch it after this season or track it down on the internet.
