My name is Ivy.  It isn't short for a longer name... just Ivy.

I wish I was talented enough to have a service website featured on ETSY but sadly, no; --|  talent is missing in that department.... although I am always searching for it.

2. What are your inspirations for starting your site?   

"Inspire"... that is a great word and for that reason it is in my blog title.  My hubs (Mr. Ivy, a.k.a. Bubba) has always done our family blog.  Mostly just pic's of our growing family and funny tidbits that he feels should be published for our family and friends.... I always just shared my cool finds on facebook.  Yep, I said it, {whisper...facebook}.  It was junking up my friend's streams and I knew there had to be a better way to show all the things that inspire me while allowing people to read it when they wanted..... so I started "Inspirations by Ivy".  My third post was about coffee. It is a big part of my life {some of you may think that is sad but Jen here will think I am totes cool!}  Anyway--go check it out.  I started in September of 2009 so I guess that makes me new to blogging.  I admire each and every one of my fans, I visit their sites often and love learning about them and their inspirations.  It is an adorable group and you must be a part of it.

3. Tell us something about you & include ur favorite picture.

Something about me.... well, I have a lot "about me" stuff all over my blog.  Sometimes I think it is impossible to pin me down to one thing or one way cause I am all over and crazy and fun and lazy and just a plain old riot--but it all comes back to my true character.  I believe in love, happiness, harmony and laughter.  I know that some cynics will think that is generic or impossible.... but it's true.  Thumper was right, "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all."  and I also like to treat others as I would want to be treated.... no matter how stupid they are.... I will try! :)

This is a photo of my parents.  I don't know why I picked this out of the hundreds of photos I love but it is one of my favs. Maybe b/c we were talking about me.... and I came from them and they taught me how to be a good person.  We should all be so lucky to have someone in our life to thank for giving us a good start.  My parents have been married for 38 years.  They are a pure example of what love and kindness can give you: a fun and healthy life.

4. A photo with you and a coffee cup/mug/paper cup.. something along those lines!  * i had to add this :) *

So, my life has a lot of coffee in it.... but not many coffee pics!  This is a photo I took on my Mac with photo booth one night when MamaKatsLosinIt was on twitter.  She was in need of a drink, I was in need of a drink so we did it virtually.  Mine was Bailey's on ice in my favorite peace mug.  So, it wasn't coffee but it is a coffee mug and I do drink Bailey's with coffee on occasion so, it counts.  The photo quality is what it is and the mess in the background just proves I have too many offspring.
