2. What are your inspirations for starting your site?

I've always loved writing and connecting with other's through writing. I had been reading a few blogs and found myself really interested in the blogging world so I thought I would give it a go. I honestly just thought that my friends and family would be reading it but it keeps growing and I love being able to connect with people from all over the world! My blog is called Lauren's Thoughts because it is basically the random thoughts I have in my head. One day it could be a cute picture I love and the next it could be a look at friendship and what they mean to me. I don't think I'll ever stop writing creatively. :)

3. Tell us something about you & include ur favorite picture.
I chose a picture of my boyfriend and I looking goofy because that is my favorite way to be. I love anything really silly and one of my favorite actors is Will Ferrell because he shows that no matter what age you are, you have to know how to laugh and have fun. Also, I love this picture because this boy means a lot to me. :)

4. That is the only picture I have with a coffee mug! I always thought it looked kinda cool.

Thanks Lauren!!!!!

Originally I had a photography website, but didn't update it much. I knew I wanted to share my thoughts, ideas, photographs and stories with others, but wasn't really sure how. That's when I came across blogger. It's perfect for sharing. Even a quick post from blogpress on the iPhone is enough.

3. Tell us something about you & include ur favorite picture.

I love reading, Blogging, Photography, Writing short stories and I love Manchester United, The Clarets and The Padres, Hawthorne Hawks and Liverpool (but Shhhh). I love Loveclough, Salou and Melbourne. I'm engaged to the love of my life, Kevin and I wouldn't change him for the world. I love him to bits and he knows it!

4. A photo with you and a coffee cup/mug/paper cup.. something along those lines!  * i had to add this :)

Thank you Sara :)

Hi! My name is Lauren, but in this blogosphere I go by Laurnie. It’s a nickname that’s been with me since I was probably 4, and close friends have used it for years. Its taken on many spellings – Nornie, Lornie, Naurnie…but I prefer Laurnie. No particular reason. I have 2 blogs – well 3, but the 3rd is one of those private, invitation only thingies. My first blog, my main squeeze, is Some Whine With Cheese (www.somewhinewithcheese.com). My 2nd is more of a project blog – a traveling notebook/journal.www.thenotebookjourney.blogspot.com. I don’t have an etsy! Yet. Id like to think that Im as crazy talented and creative as all the etsy shop owners out there, but I have accepted that sadly, I am not. So I will just keep buying stuff to keep those people in business.

2.      What are your inspirations for starting your site?
I first started my blog right before my 30th birthday this past October. I had made a 20 before 30 list, and figured I would update my progress and share it with my friends and family. Then I started finding other blogs, and became inspired to actually write about more than just those 20 things, and here I am. 7 months later, I have written about everything from the 100 books I want to finish in a year (yea, Ive slacked. I don’t want to talk about it) to the crazy stuff my bf does for me, as well as random thoughts that fill my head. Its become quite an addiction and Im so glad I did, because I think I have discovered my love for writing – just need a little more practice.

The Notebook Journey idea just kind of came about one morning. I thought it would be cool to have drawing, thoughts, recipes, pictures, etc from all the great blog friends I have discovered around the world. So I put together an artsy looking notebook, and sent it off. Initially I had 22 people when I started it, never thinking I would fill the book in the first round. Now I have 148 people, and I wont be getting it back for 3 years! I love the idea of this thing just traveling to different states and countries. And wonder where I will be in 3 years when I get it back

Hmm. About me. I had a hard enough time filling this out for my profile! Its always difficult filling something out where you just talk about yourself, I envy the people it comes easy to. Lets see…can I make it short and sweet? Ive learned more about myself in the past year than my entire 30 years of being alive. Im witty, confused, deliciously happy, in love, curious, lost, unselfish, excited. But I still wish I knew what I know now when I was 21. I guess that’s the fun part of growing up though.

This is my favorite picture – its of me and Wes, the Mister in my life. He is a big Johnny Cash fan, and we took this picture on our way out to dinner in Palm Springs, and it had such a Johnny Cash feel to it. I cant explain it. So its now an 8x10 picture hanging in our hallway. No, Im not naked.

3.      A photo with you and a coffee cup/mug/paper cup.. something along those lines!  * i had to add this :) *

THIS was fun. I have to have ONE cup of iced coffee a day – yet somehow a picture of me with my addiction didn’t exist. So I took it for you right now. Notice that sweet leopard print hoodie in the background? Don’t be jealous. And my addiction is so bad (and expensive) that I purchased my own plastic iced cup (pictured), an espresso maker, and my favorite syrup (Cinnamon Dolce Latte). Although nothing beats the ones freshly made at your local starbucks…

Thanks lady for featuring :)

My name is Sam Liu, I'm 15 and I come from Liverpool, United Kingdom. My blog is called Thoughts, writings, coffee... and can be found at http://thoughts-writings-coffee.blogspot.com/

My blog's logo/button is:

Inspirations: I've always been a lover Art, creativity and writing. In my spare time, I love nothing more than to write: short stories, poetry, ideas, anything. One day, I decided that I wanted to share my writings with the world and so I started a blog. I didn't expect to get many readers, but after a while, I earned an audience, whose feedback and comments gave me all the motivation I needed to carry on blogging. As far as my writing is concerned, I am moved to write by the world. I watch people, I explore our behaviour and I take a step back and reflect on the lives we all lead. I suppose, in essence, my work is simply my take on Humanity and its condition.

Something about me: My biggest dream in life is to become a published writer and I hope that my works will, one day, be it big or small, make some sort of a difference. I hope that my creations inspire other people to write and create wonderful pieces of Art. Another thing - I'm a coffee addict and a perfectionist.

I've attached a photo of me with a warming cup of coffee. It's a recent picture, taken whilst I was on the computer, tending to my blog. I like it because I'm using my favourite coffee cup, with a Union Jack print on it.

Lastly, thank you for providing your readers with this wonderful opportunity, it's really kind of you :)

Thanks Sam for featuring today!

2.  I was inspired to start my own blog after discovering and falling in love with the world of blogs.  Ones such as yours.  They always leave me so inspired as a designer.  I feel like they open my eyes and renew my senses to all of the beauty around us.  Its easy to loose touch and appreciation for details in life, what with work, errands, and all that jazz.   Thats what brought me to start my own blog and jewelry line.  I want to inspire and motivate those around me, and fill them with that energy.  There are times when I just have all these ideas bouncing around in my head, and this my outlet.

3. I am originally from the very sub-urbs of Chicago, but moved out to California a week after my eighteenth birthday with that dream of success that I hope everyone has.  My philosophy on life and success is that you have to find something you want, a goal, or challenge.  Then everyday, every single day, you have to chip away a little something that will put you a least one step closer.  It doesn't even have to be something you would associate with as work. Sometimes it can be as simple as sitting in a bookstore, in a cloud of fashion magazines filling your soul with inspiration and ideas.  I think that one of my biggest challenges in life is balance, and time management.  I'm always trying to cram as much as I can into every minute of my day, which often leads me to be late everywhere I go.

Thanks Natasha! :)

 I don't have one yet =(

Inspirations: Well, I graduated from college last May and decided to take a year off before going back to get my Masters. That year spun me in a lot of directions, from spending a month in Africa to finding out (upon landing back in the US) that I got offered a job in Boston (where I had never been before) and needed to move all over the course of the next week. So, I did just that and when I started, my job was quite literally a dream first job and about 4 months into it, it started going downhill...and further downhill...and even further downhill. I'm still here because I'm determined to stick it out for a year. Well, I was getting so down about everything at work that it was just absorbing my life and affecting my relationships with my family, friends, boyfriend, etc. so I decided I needed to do something that would give me something to look forward to rather than just waiting for my year to be up and waiting to hear back from grad schools, so I came up with a list of 25 things I wanted to do before I turn 25. An avid blog reader at this point, I decided to start my own so that I could get the sense of community and support that I sensed other bloggers were getting. It was also a way for me to keep up with something and keep track of how I'm doing. This list has completely changed my outlook on everything since I started blogging about it 2 months ago and every day is exciting because I'm doing something on my list which just gives me something to look forward to a little more each day! (Sorry if this was long!)

Something about me: I have an unreasonable lust for all things pumpkin! Pumpkin pie, pumpkin cake, pumpkin muffins, pumpkin lattes, pumpkin cookies...and I had never even HAD pumpkin until about 8 months ago!

My Picture: This was taken on Valentine's Day last year inside an Urban Outfitters. I went to the mall with my (now) boyfriend (he wasn't then) and two of my housemates. Well, us girls saw this little table and thought it was the cutest thing and decided to have a little picnic inside Urban! I didn't even know the bf was taking pictures but I love this picture because I wasn't posing and I was just laughing and having fun and being myself, so it's definitely one of my favorite pictures! (And it has coffee!)

New Feature!

I know, I know... I have been very inconsistent with my features, and it's mostly because I don't have time to follow through with them. But I am thinking this could potentially work.

Here is my idea.

I want to feature a blog/etsy shop every month. Or every couple weeks, depending on how many people respond. So here is my challenge for you. In order to be featured on Novelista, you can send me the answers to these questions:

1. Your Name, Blog website and/or etsy website and logo.

2. What are your inspirations for starting your site?

3. Tell us something about you & include ur favorite picture.

4. A photo with you and a coffee cup/mug/paper cup.. something along those lines!  * i had to add this :) *

So I would be MORE than happy to feature anyone!! Send it over or let me know if you're interested and I can email to the questions! Send to:  jennifera328@gmail.com

I hope to get someone up soon!
