I know it's not coming up THAT soon... but it is almost right around the corner. A lot of my friends are now single or have broken up recently and this holiday is one of the more depressing of the year, besides like Christmas or New Year's. Valentine's Day is right up there with the depressing-ness.

I don't particularly like the holiday. I think it's more of a Hallmark-made holiday and that it never ends up making people feel good about themselves. Everyone is secretly waiting for that special something to come to them that day and then when it doesn't, its disappointing and then when you watch other people get this and that, that is disappointing as well.
Hoping for the romantic dinner, romantic flowers, romantic whatever it may be... something special coming your way. And when it isn't quite where you thought it would be, it sucks. It is just a hallmark let down for everyone. It sets basically everyone up for failure. Either its not good enough, or its nothing at all.. etc etc. Poor men... they can never quite get it right.
And single? Forget it. Why don't you just rub in in our faces? Seriously!
I want to hear what you have to say. Tell me your opinion of Valentine's Day.... Do you have any stories? If you do, send them over, i'll post them up.
I honestly don't have any stories because I have always tried to boycott Valentine's Day since I don't need someone to just be nice to me on that day... it just be when they want to be, not when they have to.
So let's hear it!
Do you love or hate Valentine's Day?
