Recently I walked into Barnes & Nobles to buy a book finally and the first thing I saw were these:
When I saw these covers, I HAD to know what they were for.
Which I thought was the Kindle and now I just realized it is the Nook! I checked out this article comparing the Kindle vs. the Nook to see what really is the difference and if I had to choose.. I would go with the Nook. Especially since it has Kate Spade covers....that sold me right there!
These things are very intriguing and I think they only sold me because of the covers.
Does anyone have one or the other? If so, which do you recommend?
Do you just prefer books?

I got the sony EReader and I LOVE IT!!! I read everything on it. I can read a nine hundred page book anywhere I am without having the weight of it!! Definitely get a warranty though when you buy it!!
Gotta say, while the kindles and nooks and all those are definitely cute (and with cute covers!), I just can't hop on that train. Not sure how I'd feel about reading off a computer screen (but I guess I haven't tried), but mostly I just love the feel of books, the process of reading an old book and flipping the pages, etc. I do understand, though, that the e-readers could be amazing for people who travel all the time.
Right now I'm in between the Sony EReader and the Nook. Although that adorable Kate Spade cover is doing its best to nudge me in the Nook's direction...
iPad all the way. way, way sexier. and kate spade probably makes a cover for those too. :-)
That first case is SO cute!
I have the nook. I was kinda not excited for it at first (Christmas present) but I have been sold on it. I travel for a living so it's amazing to carry all the books I want on something so little.
The difference with the nook, kindle, sony's vs. the ipad is that these read like book pages. My eyes never hurt from reading it, the ipad is backlite like a computer so it will strain your eyes after a while.
I'm just a book girl, myself, but I kind of think it'd be fun to get either a kindle or a nook! I just feel like I wouldn't use it enough to justify the expense.
Oooh, those covers are fantastic! I'm a good ol' book girl, but my boyfriend really liked his Kindle (until he got an iPad, now the poor Kindle is collecting dust).
I have the Kindle and I love it. I like ginormous novels and I can take the Kindle and have 47 books at my finger tips, just in case I get bored with one or the other. Plus I can surf the web (ish) and even update my blog. Plus there's no glare. I don't really mind there's no color.
...and I hear they just went on a big SALE! :)
I have the Kindle and I love it. I am the kinds who read two books at a time. I like the fact that I can carry my entire bookshelf with me. It's light and looks chic! :)
I recommend an ebook reader. I am not sure about the nook but I've had no troubles with the Kindle so far.
I'm a bit old-fashioned when it comes to this and simply cannot imagine not having a pile of pages to flick through...
No, I don't have one of these but from what I've heard, the Ipad has the kindle app which seems like a better investment, maybe? Because you get the Ipad and the kindle in one... Maybe? lol I have no clue. I can't afford the Ipad either way haha
The brown bag definitely caught my eye...but, I do like the other one as well.
Ok, I was going to get a nook however, I figured I would try the ebooks reader that Barnes & Noble offers for free. I downloaded to my Blackberry and have read 3 books digitally. I like real books. There is just something about holding the book in your hands and turning the pages. But, I think it is personal preference. Try it out on your phone before you buy it...hope this helps (that is why I tried it on my BB first). I am glad I waited.
