Reading Twilight Again
With all this free time in my hands, I usually dont do this but I really wanted to read the Twilight series again. I hate re-reading books because I already know what happens in them and I usually find myself skipping pages, but I started reading Twilight again yesterday and I pretty much have forgotten all of the details in the book so reading it over again made it so good!
I am really excited about this.
Does anyone have a suggestion on any books that are like Twilight that I can read? I remember hearing something about the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo? Any suggestions on that? Also, someone mentioned Vampire Academy... ?
ps....less than 1 week till Christmas... holy crap!

The Vampire Diaries books are good. :)
i read the girl with the dragon tattoo books. they were really good. i have yet to see the movies... need to watch them sometime soon.
***if you do end up reading the girl with the dragon tattoo... let me know, i'll mail you the last book - i'd love to pass it on ;)
i also recently read tana french's in the woods and enjoyed it. next i'm reading the likeness by her, and i've heard it's even better than in the woods.
I really enjoy Sophie Kinsella books ... she is probably my favorite author. She did the Shopaholic series, but she has done some other ones ... My fave: Can You Keep A Secret? and Remember Me?
Vampire Academy is one of my favorites!!
Hey sweety, good on you,i am starting Breaking Dawn today! Yes i am embarrassed..kind of cause everyone has read it!lol the Vampire Diaries books are great:)
xx
I actually work in a book store and I practically specialize in these books (AKA people who read Twilight and need something else!)
Here's what's most popular and what you need to read (and then tell me about!lol)
1. City of Bones by Cassandra Clare. It's a series and it's AMAZING. 3 books, 4th one comes out in April. I've read them all and love.
2. Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. It's a totally different series from Twilight but everyone loves it and anyone who looks for books to read I recommend it to me. It's one of my favorite series of books EVER. Hands down.
Enjoy :)
Honestly, you need both the Harry Potter series, and The Girl with the Dragon Tatoo series. Both are quite different than the Twilight series, but the similarities in the 3 are quite simple...you can't put them down. Enjoy!
I might just have to read Twillight again too (the entire series). I love to read and love Harry Potter (movies) - I can't believe I haven't read them yet...I vote for Harry Potter. And I just can't wrap me head around The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo but, if you read the book(s) let me know what you think...
aw i read harry potter already! lollllll loved that so much too!!
If you like paranormal, Kelley Armstrong is a big name in that genre, especially her Women of the Otherworld series. I second the Hunger Games trilogy, of course.
Everyone's going crazy over Hush, Hush and Fallen series, but I didn't like their first chapters enough to read them. I read the first 3 Vampire Diary books and they each got progressively worse. Same with the Immortals series (starting with Ever I think?) - very Twilight-esque.
MY FAV is the Sookie Stackhouse series; I've blogged melodramatically about her actually: http://52faces.blogspot.com/2009/12/sookie-and-i-love-libraries.html
And my guilty pleasure is the Blue Blood series - this is probably the closest to Twilight you can get, combined with Gossip Girl.
