Age and Dating.. What is too Young or too Old

{picture}

when is it too young? when is it too old?

I believe Age is just a number.

i have dated people all different ages. and been in relationships with men older then me, the same age as me, and younger then me.

there are a lot of people who judge based off of age. I am not one of those people. I mean there are sometimes extremes and then there are benefits and disadvantages to dating different ages as well. But I know, that removing age from the factor, it all depends on how mature/immature a guy is, and their age is irrelevant.

I do believe that older men have more experience and know what they want most of the time and that younger men, don't, simply because they just dont have the experience or haven't really lived as long as a man that is much older then them.

I just recently turned 26. I have dated men that have been 5-7 years older then me, I have dated men the same age as me, and I have dated men who are 5 years younger then me.  All have been different in their maturity levels and honestly it is SO hard to say that dating older will be more mature or dating younger will be more immature, because it depends SO much on the man... and I can say that dating older doesn't necessarily mean more mature.

I know for my age, I am more mature then most girls my age. I have always been that way. I am not saying that I am mature all of the time, because that is simply not true lol... but I have always been on a different level from the girls my age. So the same really goes for men as well I believe.

What is your take?

Do you agree or disagree?

My husband is almost 13 years older than me. I'm 27. A lot of my friends are a lot older than me too, most of them at least 5 years older. I have always been mature for my age, I think it's because my parents were in their mid 30's when they had me and I was around a lot of their adult friends growing up. I really don't see a problem with it. That said, it is a bit much for a 17 year old to be dating a 30 year old (that's the age difference between my husband and I)....I think that after you're 21, age doesn't really matter.

What Gidget said. My wife is 4 years older than me, and, at times, we're still, at best, 12 years old.

I have dated a guy the same age as me and I am currently dating a younger guy ... I really like it. Yeah, there's some obvious things like $$, parents, etc. But all in all, I think we are in the same place mentally ... does that make him mature? Possibly ... does that make me immature? Who knows ... love is love regardless of age. I tell him all the time that I was just waiting for him to be ripe for pickin! :)

I'm a bit torn on this subject. I'm a lot more open minded about the age gap compared to some of my friends, but at 22 I won't go over a certain age in terms of dating because I know that some older men are definitely looking for things in a relationship that I'm not. That being said, people can date at whatever age they want! :)

I'm not sure. I tend to think give or take a few years from your own age is ideal. Then again, it totally depends on the guy, like you said. Maturity is a huge factor and could happen (or not happen) at any age, so... it's sort of relative I guess.

Its complicated. My boyfriend is older than me I am 21 and he is like 30's . My parents don't know and honestly I think they would freak if they did know. We get along fine but anywho. Yep , I obviously don't have a problem with age difference. As long as the girl knows what she is getting her hands in and mature enough. I mean I am not mature but I do have my own apartment and go to college. But I knew my boyfriend when I was going to community college and living at home. But at the time I considered us more friends till just recently.

This design is steller! You obviously know how to keep a reader
amused. Between your wit and your videos, I was almost moved to start my
own blog (well, almost...HaHa!) Fantastic job. I really enjoyed what you had to say, and more than that, how you presented it.
Too cool!
