Post Winter Break Teacher Blues

It's definitely been one of those crazy weeks where you come back from winter break of being off for two weeks and need to get readjusted to real life again.

I have been in definite need of this Friday alllllllll week long! Although now being pregnant Friday's have a different meaning for me. It's not going out and getting smashed or seeing my friends. Now its about going out to dinner and seeing a movie or making dinner and watching tv with the husband. Such a crazy difference. To more correctly state my life prior to marriage, I would usually be bartending tonight and making good money but this would be my 6am wake up and 5am go to sleep night where I am working almost 20 hours in a day.  I do not wish to go back to that life!

Happy Friday..... Counting down the long hours!!!!

Ps... my belly has gotten much bigger this week, actually really it seems to have grown humongous over night. Is this what happens at 5 months? Your stomach grows over night?!

Eat. Pray. Love

{picture}

Have you seen this movie? If not, go see it. Or even read the book. It was great. The meaning to it and what happened throughout were a great lesson and honestly, I wish I could do what she did in it. And maybe I don't just wish it, I actually want to do them. Putting yourself in situations where you are totally uncomfortable and then trying to make it work.

And I absolutely love Julia Roberts, so that automatically won me over.

I only wish I could get a book deal from a publisher to pay for my trip. Seriously, pay me and I will travel wherever you want and write whatever you like. That is an absolutely dream for me! Although I know that most likely will never happen, I will probably just have to take accounts into my own hands and write about places that I go for free, ha ha.

Have you seen this movie or read the book? Give me your opinion.. I would love to hear.

"People think a soul mate is your perfect fit, and that's what everyone wants. But a true soul mate is a mirror, the person who shows you everything that is holding you back, the person who brings you to your own attention so you can change your life.

A true soul mate is probably the most important person you'll ever meet, because they tear down your walls and smack you awake. But to live with a soul mate forever? Nah. Too painful. Soul mates, they come into your life just to reveal another layer of yourself to you, and then leave.

A soul mates purpose is to shake you up, tear apart your ego a little bit, show you your obstacles and addictions, break your heart open so new light can get in, make you so desperate and out of control that you have to transform your life, then introduce you to your spiritual master..."

a lovely but sickly holiday weekend

love this picture :)

ahh..back to work.

i hope everyone had a nice thanksgiving weekend. mine was very low key, considering i have been deathly sick since Tuesday and have yet to get better.

I actually haven't drank or went out to a bar since last weekend and I honestly can't believe I didn't go out once this weekend. I think if i had been feeling better, i would have attempted it, but i didnt.

I did however accomplish a bunch of other things this weekend like catching up on watching movies! Elf, Along Came Polly, Click, Meet the Fockers, Sex & the City 2, Grownups, uhm.... many others. But it was great. I did a project for my class, hung out with M, and the best part, created an Etsy store!!!!

I am actually very excited about my Etsy store. I have many pictures that I can add to it, but I dont know if anyone would actually buy it.. but I am very happy! Please check it out and use the 15% discount code NOVELISTA at my Etsy Shop.

This is basically my attempt at being creative, so we shall see how it goes.
This is my favorite one so far....

Slumdog Millionaire

Saw it last night and it was great! I didn't know what all the hype was about but now I know and can understand. They did a GREAT job I am excited that they won 8 oscars; they were well deserved. If you haven't seen it, SEE IT!
Although some of the writing on the screen got cut off since I had a bootleg version of it - oops- but I could understand the gist of what they were writing. This movie made me really want to go to India. It's like I need to be there, I dont know why I get these urges to go where there is corruption and dangerousness --although that is really anywhere in the world -- I do tend to want to be there too! Weird, I know, but it makes me want to go there and help these children out. Not that me by myself could really do much help, but its the thought that counts. The boyfriend didn't want to watch it because his friend told him it was a chick-flick. Ha! Was it definitely not and he was glad that he ended up watching it!
The kids they picked to act in the movie are so cute; it breaks your heart to see that they have to wheel and deal like that to live.
I am glad about the ending, its kind of a trade off for the kid though; losing someone to gain someone else.
