I am borrowing my brothers car and he doesnt have a cd player in and I asked him why and he said because he "doesnt need one".

So strange.. when did it get to the point where we didnt need CD's anymore?

Drinks on the Run

I am not a morning person. I wake up early and usually I am rushing around showering, doing my make up and hair, so the very last thing on my mind is how I am going to get caffeine, until the last minute I have to leave. Having been a barista and working with little kids all day long, this should be a huge priority to me but it always seems to be so time consuming to get to a store to have them make me coffee.  

Recently I found out about Mocafe and I began trying out all of their products. Since I really have about 2 minutes to figure out how to make a drink without a fancy espresso machine in my house, I finally figured out what was easy and quick to make.

Taking literally 2 minutes or less, I can open a packet of Vanilla Chai (the packets come in the exact size needed for one drink), pour in the milk usually about 6oz. (if you aren’t sure, it does actually say it on the packet) and then a few ice cubes, throw it in a blender and blend it up for a couple seconds until the ice is all blended, throw it in a cup and run out the door.

This is not only a great source of caffeine, but it is really tasty and especially frozen. If you want to get crazy, you can even mix 1/2 vanilla and 1/2 spiced chai…it is really good! Not many people have tried chai frozen, so definitely go for it and experiment a little! I also love soy milk, so I know that chai does taste amazing with it!

my dad and i didnt have a great relationship when i lived at home, but now its definitely turned out for the better and i am glad it has.

hmm... interesting

i got some text messages at 5am on tuesday from my ex M, saying he got arrested, crashed his car and might lose his job. i didnt hesistate to respond to ask if he was okay or hurt and where he was.

i called him and we talked and i went down after work to see him where he was. i cant get into too much detail but ill give you the basics. it was interesting. nice but also i felt like a friend at the same time... which was fine.

i know he hurt me bad, but i felt like i needed to be there for him. he hit rock bottom and was desperate and i know his friends suck and wouldnt be there for him like i would. i would have done that for anyone, regardless of what the past was like.

now i dont really know what would happen from here.. he texts me and we talk about whats going to happen now with him and stuff, and i am really trying to stay neutral, because i dont want to get involved.. as much as i probably would have, but i dont really want to get involved.

ugh such confusing stuff.. i wish it never happened to him so that he wouldnt have contacted me, but then again i am glad that i didnt have to find out through anyone else and that he did.

i am a confusing person.

ugh.

Library Cards?

I got on! The library in my town is actually extremely nice and brand new. They just happen to have the books that I want there too.

It is nice to have a library card and to be able to get these books out and then return them and not have to spend any money. But at the same time, I absolutely love buying new books and going to Borders or Barnes and Noble, but it really does cost too much to buy books. Spending $25 on a book that I will most likely only read once isn't something I want to spend my $25 on anymore. Now that I can just take the book out for free, although I won't have it for my collection, I still am able to read it.

How do you feel about library cards and taking books out vs. buying them?

Define Cheating.

The other day they were talking about on the radio, in light of what happened with Anthony Weiner, what people would consider cheating. It got me to thinking about what I consider cheating.

I have dealt with a bunch of different cheating from the guys I have been with. I have also done my fair share of wrong doings as well, so I think in some sense I am a little bias to the situation.

I also understand every persons version of what they consider cheating is absolutely different. My friend Mich, her version is basically anything that has to do with someone else that you are talking to, sending pictures to, hanging out with... and beyond.

Do I believe that Weiner should be asked to step down because he sent his weiner (pun definitely intended)  to 6 women over twitter? No. I think that is totally stupid, it's just a picture. But then again, who knows what he actually did. Either way I don't think it should have anything to do with his job.

To me... cheating is flirting with another person, going on dates with them, kissing them and then everything else after that.

I don't necessarily believe that text messages are cheating nor are picture messages, although i believe picture messages are the step right before they are actually going to cheat. It is hard for me to say about the whole text message thing because M texted with so many different girls I couldnt even tell you how many. And I know they were not all just friends or being nice. So I mean I could say it was cheating but who really knows.

I think any physical-ness with another person is absolute cheating, there is no other way to see that.

My advice on cheating? DON'T DO IT!

Flashback Fridays - Dog gone Wild

Back in 2004 when facebook was just starting to come around and I was in my sophomore year of college, I started finding kids who went to Pace (my college) on there. I would just randomly friend anyone that went to Pace, whether it was the NYC campus or the one I was at.

A lot of people did talk back and then we would become AIM friends (because AIM was cool back then -- you know when everyone left it on their computers all day and all night long?) So I met this kid Tom and we became friends and talked a lot through AIM. He lived on campus and I lived with V in an apartment. We had actually never met yet and it had been a little while in the semester before we did. V was my right hand woman and we did absolutely everything together since we both lived off campus.

I told V about this kid Tom that I wanted to meet and that there was this rock show at the campus we used to live at. It was at night and since we knew we werent going to stay at the show and we were going to go out later, we figured we would bring Luna (see picture above) with us because she also came everywhere we went unless we were going to the bars.

So we pack in the car and drive to the campus and wait for him to come outside. V and I get out to meet him and its cool, hes decent looking, and were just hanging out. V opens the door to get a cigarette and before she could shut the door, Luna runs out of the door with no leash.

At that point, someone had JUST opened the door to the venue where the rock show was going on and Luna just darted directly for the door and went in. The lights were all off in there because there was a rock show going on, and all V and I could hear was everyone starting to scream that there was a bear in there!

This all literally happened in a matter of seconds, so V, myself and Tom started to run towards the door when Luna darts back out of the door. I tackled her and grabbed her collar and we got her back in the car.

People were coming out to see what happened but V and I were SO embarrassed and this poor kid that we had just met, was too. We decided that it was an excellent time to leave and I told Tom that we could definitely hang out again but probably somewhere less public or no dog.... He thought that was a good idea.

Moral of this story: Don't bring the dog with you to meet someone you've never met before; wait till at least the 2nd time.

Flashback Fridays

I have been thinking this through and I decided that I have a lot of weird stories from college and my past that I wanted to share with everyone (lucky you!) I really wanted to name this Throwbacks, but it didn't fit as well as Flashback did, so be it.

I am going to keep a ongoing character list so you will can figure out who everyone is by looking at it instead of me re-explaining who I am talking about each time in each story. I will try to accommodate the stories with pictures as best as possible, just actually have to scan the pictures in! lol.



Character List:


V -  V is my best friend, I met her in college in my freshman year and she just had a baby and is married. I lived with her in college in two different apartments and we had some crazy ass times together. She was also referred to as my ex best friend, because my ex T, that I used to live with, forced me to not be friends with her anymore. We recently reconnected last year and it has been awesome.

C-  C is my roommate that I live with now. I met her my first day of orientation at college and we have been friends ever since 2002. We dormed together in freshman year of college and then she didnt live with me again from there until 2 years ago when I broke up with T and needed somewhere to live. It has been definitely interesting times lol

T-  T is my ex that I used to live with. We were together for almost 3 years and lived together for most of it. I explained the whole story here. Needless to say, we broke up in 2009 and moved out and havent spoken since.

Jay-  J is my ex before T. He cheated on me ALL of the time, expect I could never catch him or prove it without having gone through his cell phone. I was dumb and young and he took me on vacations and we did a lot of stuff so I didnt want to break up with him, so I essentially cheated on him back and finally our relationship ended when he moved to Mississippi. He did end up coming back after the summer of being there and I will explain in one of my flashbacks why we havent spoken since he came back... this was in like.... 2006.

Mike- Mike is my ex from high school. The love of my life. Always has been and always will be. We had a good relationship. We fought a lot and had a lot of issues but I loved this kid so so much. We broke up when I went to college (we dated from freshman year till i went to college in my junior year) This was back in 2000 when we started dating. We have recently again become friends and he is dating this girl that stalked me and wanted to be me and was obsessed with him. She got her wish.


Kristen- V and I's third roommate halfway through sophomore year in college. She started stealing weed and hair products from myself and V, so we decided to move out of our 2 bedroom, really nice dorm with a balcony to this apartment. We haven't spoken to her since.  (2003)

Amy- Used to be friends with her in middle school and high school and we were best friends. We always hung out and did things together. In freshman year of high school, she became friends with another girl Julie, and Julie for some reason didnt like me, so she turned Amy against me and then all of my friends, left me with no friends as a freshman in high school and then tried to get me expelled from school, tried to get seniors to beat me up... and so on.. you'll see when i write her story.

Hellllllloooo Breaking Dawn preview!!! I cannot WAIT!!!!!!! So so so excited. Tell me I am not the only one!
Did anyone watch the movie awards? I thought they were actually extremely good this year. I have a new found love for Justin Bieber... i dont know what happened or why, but i just think he is adorable!

Twilight won mostly everything as it should have. It was a great movie. So that was awesome and Edward is just extremely hot.

The effects that they have for these movie and music awards is absolutely insane. Imagine what the rest of the award shows would have been like if they had the type of effects that we have nowadays? Damn..

Overwhelmed

This picture describes how I feel in many different ways.

I am definitely stuck and overwhelmed. Almost like I should be going somewhere and I am actually going no where and it is taking way too damn long.

Between battling with the unemployment department, working too bad much, trying to take 2 online classes (which let me tell you is a horrible horrible idea in the summer and i will never do it again and am probably dropping 1 if i can avoid any sort of fee), and wanting to be outside at all times, and my friends just sucking ass, and living too far away from the guy im seeing......ugh!!!!!!!!

I am stupid for thinking I could do online classes when all i want to do is hang out and be outside. I was inside the house all fucking winter, I dont want to be online in my house in the summer! Dumb idea. But then, that also screws me for Costa Rica because the course is online and I just am not sure when I am going to take it and then online classes I wanted to take in Costa Rica which I cannot do now because I honestly suck at doing classes online. I love to blog, but the last thing I want to do is do school work online. I can't learn anything. The only thing I learn is how easily distracted I am.

Ughhhh, I am so frustrated.

How do you handle your frustration?! I need some ideas.

Promoting Yourself and Your Blog

Recently some of my friends have been wondering how to promote themselves in the blogger world and even in the music world. There are many different ways to get your name further out there once you have established a role and have established your initial name. This is where promotional products come into the mix. An awesome company I found that has SO many different choices, items and products to choose from is Myron.

Some of my personal favorite items listed on their website are the personalized tote bags and the promotional USB. They are great because you can give them both away and both items are something anyone can use. You aren't just targeting a specific demographic with these products, you can use them anywhere and most people will use them both.

Giving these products away on your blog as a giveaway is always a great idea, or even if you can leave them in stores or at booths during a trade show or anything along those lines, that is the best way to get your name out there.

Bottom line with your customers or followers or fans:  everyone likes free things! So the more impressive free items you have with your name on them, the better off you are and the more likely your fans will remember you!
