I thought the first Interactive Thursday I did went really well and thanks to everyone who participated! I figured I would keep going... so Here it is..
Topic of the Week:
List products/things/anything that are brand names that we have accepted as their name.
Examples:
Kleenex = facial tissue
Scotch Tape = tape
Band aid = adhesive strip
Frisbee = flying disk
Xerox = photo copy machine
Post It Notes= sticky paper
Googling = searching something on the web
Why do we as a society accept things like this?
List some others I haven't mentioned.
Opinions! Comments! Answers! Good topic? Bad?
Write away!

It reminds me of how my grandma used to always call all refrigerators "Fridgedaires".
It's different where I live now then where I grew up, but here some people call all sodas "Coke."
Oh yeah, Coke is a big one in the south. My relatives in the midwest call it "pop". Nope, here any kind of soda is a "coke".
