Interactive Thursdays!

Topic:

If you had to cut out one MAIN social network that you use everyday from your life completely right now, what would it be?

(i was thinking about giving you options but just the thought of actually having to choose between facebook and blogger or something made me cringe!)

My Answer:

OH GOD..... I don't even KNOW. I basically use Facebook, Blogger, now gchat and all sorts of email and 20SB everything single day.
I mean... if i absolutely HAD to cut something out of my life that I use EVERY day and can barely live without, it would probably have to be..... Facebook. AHHH i cant even imagine that right now..

But Facebook --is an evil entity in itself and it corrupts peoples minds! And i love every minute of it BUT. I know this consumes WAY too much of my time and it would probably be better if I didn't spend so much of my time on it.. and I might actually get some work done.. LOL.

Ideas?! Comments? Thoughts? Opinions?!

I just cried a little thinking about cutting blogger out of my life.

I'd probably go with AIM since I really don't use it much. PLUS it didn't say anything about GChat, so I'd still have that!

I'll about bending the rules.

LOL this is true..... i dont think i could make it without facebook to be honest though!

That is actually an easy one for me. I would get rid of Twitter. I know everyone really loves it, but I always run out of characters when I try to post updates. I am much more suited to blogs and mediums like facebook

I would go with Myspace. I never use it anymore now that I have Facebook!

Teach.Workout.Love said...

Yahh see if i had twitter then i would totally remove that too!

Teach.Workout.Love said...

Myspace def sucks.... not sure what happened to it but everyone i know just stopped using it!

I agree, facebook would be what I give up if I had to. ^. ^

I would get rid of Bing and Myspace. AIM could go too since now we have Meebo, Facebook chat, etc.

Teach.Workout.Love said...

Trueee i just heard about meebo had NO idea what the heck that was before!!

very tough... lol its ridiculous because before it was i couldnt live without AOL... now its like... who even uses AOL anymore?!

That is a TOUGH question. I'd probably also go with Fbook. I get totally consumed by it sometimes, lingering for an hour looking at things I've already seen 800 times.

It probably wouldn't kill me to cut out Fbook.

I would give up twitter, since I don't really use it that seriously, and most of the updates I receive that are important (news, headlines, etc) I get through facebook as well! Good idea for IT! - Amy

Thanks!!!!

I hear you on the getting consumed looking at things a million times!!

I was just thinking about closing my Twitter account....

I would cut out Myspace and AIM, fo' sho'...and I've honestly thought about axing FB too. If I had to choose, like HAD to choose, I would do it. I'd still have email and my blog, so people who really wanted to keep in touch with me could still do it. In fact, I'd probably have better "conversations" with them on my blog and email than I do on FB! Hmm....

I am shocking myself but I would actually cut facebook. Ever since all these re-vamps they have done I find it very hard to use/find info. Plus I went through a little "house cleaning" rage a couple months ago and deleted every "friend" I never talk to either online or in real life. It was freeing.

I'd lose Facebook. As convenient as it is to keep in touch / network, I don't like the direction it's taking. I liked it WAY better when it was exclusively for college students and I didn't feel privacy was being invaded by microsoft. *sigh*

Shut down blogger and am done with www. Its strange but the I in me depends wholly on blogger. The silence and aloofness of my life has made me a person who likes to read posts and to post. I feel alive here.

Somehow i got over with facebook and gmail. I still use them but nothing that i can't live without.

Blogger rocks and how can i loose bloggers "Yaars" like you?

Sierra said...

I could not part with blogger, gmail, facebook...but, I think I could part with Twitter bc facebook already has the updates, right?

The bad thing is if you have a business Twitter is great for that. Yikes! I love technology.

What a crazy question! Which is embarrassing to say, but it's true.

I'd say Twitter. I am a newbie and think I could live without people saying what they had for breakfast. Really, it's okay.

Great topic! That is a tough one. I would cut out Facebook. Love how it connects you with people from your past, but Twitter has stolen my heart and I could not imagine not having my blog. It tough anyway you slice it.

Happy weekend!

I would get rid of facebook before anything else. I hate all the changes they've made to it, and it just kinda sucks now. I hate the Mafia wars/farmtown bullshit, I hate all the quizzes....Facebook has totally sold out.

i broke up with facebook last year :D even though right now i'm tempted to get back with facebook. i cannot tell you how many murder threats i've received from my friends regarding getting back on facebook. according to one: 'you better get back on facebook within 6 months or i'll kill you over and over again'.

Brooke Devore said...

Thanks! And I'm not so sure what I would be able to live without. Probably facebook becuase I'm not as honest on facebook as I am on my blog and I need honesty :)

Teach.Workout.Love said...

I don't belong to half of those!! Good thing because it seems I have an online addictive personality (did I just create a disorder?)

PorkStar said...

Facebook is like having a cell phone nowadays. You can't live without it, it seems.

Teach.Workout.Love said...

HAHHA i think if u did, i TOTALLY have that disorder!!

Twitter.
Most of the time I forget to update anyway.
Though I haven't signed into AIM in years.

Valerie said...

I use so many of these on a daily basis. I know I would get a lot more done if I didn't have any of them. I think if I had to get rid of one I would eliminate Twitter.
