How funny...before I read your list I thought:
1.Drive a manual vehicle
2.Take advantage of the Dutch I was learning as in not being so self conscious & afraid to conversate w/strangers.
3.Sticking w/ any of the hobbies I picked up (painting, photography, sewing, etc.)
No regrets...looks like you learned not to let life get you down and try your hardest to do the best you can! You go girl!

LOL Stephanie thats funny, we think alike!
I reallyyyy hope everyone elses dashboard is working because mine is not and I cant see what everyone wrote today! AH no bueno for interactive thursday!
I regret..
1. Not learning how to drive a stick shift.
2. Not learning how to be more outgoing, earlier in life.
3. Not learning how to stick with things. Like school, and life plans, before now..
PS ~ my dashboard isn't working either. :(
1. Not learning how to play an instrument.
2. Not learning how to swim without holding my nose. =(
3. Not learning how to drive a stick shift.
I suppose there's still time for all three, but I wish I knew them already.
things I most regret never learning to do...hmmm..
1. play the guitar
2. knit
3. kickboxing
for those of you nto knowing how to drive a stickshift...it really isn't that hard. all it takes is a little time and effort. go ahead and give it a try....
Oohhhh i totally wish i learned how to play guitar... ive always tried but my hand-eye coordination sucks badly!
sorry to hear about your break up, love. i am sending you a virtual hug!
xo nina
I'd luv to be able to say "no regrets" & for the most part, I can. But..
My 3 would be:
1. I regret not learning to be more organized. This can be anything from keeping my room clean, staying on top of deadlines, getting shit done so I could have gone to a good college instead of community college, or even being able to organize my thoughts better.
2. learning better habits. Not having the will power to stop myself from cheating on a diet, staying out too late, (again, keeping my room clean) & not learning how to do things that I should (go to the gym, clean up after myself, make and keep appointments and SAVE MONEY!
3. learning how to use the skills I've been blessed with. I am lucky to be a smart, creative person, but without the knowledge of how to use those attributes, they go from being skills like painting, singing and acting to hobbies and quirks like doodling, humming, and being a drama queen.
I'd also like to speak another language, drive a stick and conquer my fears.
thanks nina!! xoxo
LOL spanky novelista over here :)
very good points i totally agre wtih u... i wish i had more SKILLS to utilize in my life!
I regret,
1. not learning salsa or tango all summer when I had time back in college.
2. Not learning a foreign language.
3.not learning to eat healthy
4. not learning to scuba dive or swim well, for that matter.
4. Not learning to let go of this crush for 5-6 yrs, before he finally hurt me n left.
oops two 4's here.. pls take it as a 5
and ya BTW, I know how to drive a stick shift so yeaa!!!
Soooooo....what's stopping you from learning these things now?
lol... MJ this is TRUE.... i can definitely do that! HA i didnt even think of it like that... But smart!
and i want to learn how to scuba dive and salsa or tango!
I agree, you should pick one and set a goal to learn it now! I wanted to learn to drive manual, too. My boyfriend used to have a stick shift car but it was sort of a piece of junk and I was always afraid of it...now he has a nice new car and I lost my opportunity to learn without being ridiculed! :)
mine;
1- for giving up my love and carrier as a dancer and traditional musician.
2- for being a drug abuser and involved in gangs when i was younger.
3- for giving in to depression.
my mom has a thing for people in the art industry, i've no idea why. one day she went ballistic and told me to give up everything. i loved dancing and playing music so much but i didn't want to further severe our relationship so, i did. i was heartbroken. for several years i was on a steady dose of E until one day i was caught and arrested, and that was a wake up call. then a woman came up to me, she hold my hand and told me "you can't fight the world forever and you definitely can't fight yourself any longer." i cried and i left everything and start anew. i owe her my salvation.
i wouldn't say that these three are my regrets thought, because if it wasn't for them, i wouldn't learn how to appreciate life's little things and to never give up my passion. i wouldn't know how the depressed felt, i wouldn't understand why some people resolved to alcoholism and drug abuse. it weren't for these three, i wouldn't be here today, telling you and everyone not to regret your mistakes. we've got so much to learn from it.
xoxo
i regret:
1. not learning to drive stick shift [also]
2. not taking more art classes when i was younger
3. paying more attention to the grades, rather than actually learning what i was being taught
but those are all things that i can fix [sometime in the near future]
Hmmm...
1. Not reading classic literature at a younger age (which includes not going to the bookstore or having a quality library nearby, in my adolesence).
2. Not taking any courses in anthropology in University.
& 3. Not getting involved in extracurricular theatre from a young age. (& also, that I never formally learned how to write stage plays & screen plays, which I find somewhat limiting).
I regret:
1. Not taking a photography class in college.
2. Not studying abroad
3. Not learning to play guitar
(p.s. I adore your blog!)
Oooh I really like this! I'm going to do mine on my blog. :)
Ih girlie it's not too late for learning to drive a stick shift car. It'll come in handy everywhere in the world :)
:) I agree with the language (although it's more reading and writing that I wish I knew more Chinese).
Oh and also learning a musical instrument like the piano.
I was just thinking a few hours ago how much I regret rejecting a guy that was hitting on me in this class I took 2 years ago. He was soooo hot and so my type, by at that moment I was with my ex boyfriend being miserable and sad all the time... booooooo!!!
learning stick can be exceedingly liberating and frustrating at the same time, hopefully you'll experience that for yourself someday :)
I regret not learning...
*spanish
*how to have thick skin
*how to be better at dance

Happy Weekend!!
1) Not learning spanish better so I could be fluent like both my parents
2) learning to manage my money at an early age so that I wouldn't be broke like I am today
