Pregnancy Problems: Hey Pregnant Lady, No Drinking for 9 Months!

Not that I was really a huge drinker or anything but I enjoy beer a lot. I love all the fall flavors and I like to go out and have a beer, or social drinking style, etc. But now that all I can drink is red wine, it sucks.

And being 28, and none of my friends being pregnant or my husband not being pregnant (which is REALLY not fair!), it sucks to go out with everyone and be the non-drinker. I am always designated driver and even if I have a red wine, it sucks! I hate red wine!!! What an evil punishment.

I don't mind that much not being able to drink, but I do mind when my husband goes out and drinks and comes home wasted. I am not a fan. I honestly wouldn't be a fan pregnant or not. But I almost feel like its inconsiderate and like I am being left out.

I know I shouldn't take it that way as if being left out, but my crazy emotions which make me cry over stupid shit, take over and make me upset and take everything very personal.

I really am not sure how to make these emotions stop or how to feel like I am not being left out and I am sure I am being ridiculous most of the time, but it still just sucks and I am warning you fellow pregnant people, these things happen. I would honestly never feel left out or lonely in this situation, but now that I have super emo crazy things going on in my body, that changes the whole ball park, making me incredibly depressed.

Ugh!

They never mentioned things into details on how you will really feel when you hear about pregnancy!

If you have similar stories, please feel free to share!

Have A Good Weekend!

I know this is a late have a good weekend post, but I hope everyone does and that you aren't snowed in!

We still have yet to receive any snow and I think that we probably will when I have to leave later, of course.

I had a really interesting week and it just continues to get more interesting as the days go by...

-Works great

-Love my co-workers

-I have so much to catch up on I can't keep up

- I managed to go to the gym TWICE this week!

- I did a car bomb for the first time with all my new co-workers on Thursday, including all the bosses, and it was gross!

- I have made new friends at my new job and they are pretty awesome!!

- I am very broke but we get paid on the 15th, so I am swinging it

- My tooth doesnt hurt like hell anymore and it is basically finished now until I have to go get the crown on in June

- So many random people contacting me to hang out... slightly strange.. especially when I want to hang out with them and then they are MIA.. I don't get it! Why did you ask to begin with ?!

Have a good weekend xo

10 Things That Make it Really Christmas

10 Things That Make it Really Christmas

1. Everyone hoping that it will snow on Christmas --even if you live in a tropical place.

2. The holiday decorations outside of all the houses, inside of the house, in the office, and on the trees in the town/city

3. Christmas trees on the top of the cars

4. Crazy traffic and ridiculousness in the retail stores

5. Holiday parties

6. Drinking your sorrows away with your family

7. Spending all of your money on OTHER people

8. Christmas cookies and holiday baking oh and holiday weight gain

9. Ridiculous amounts of holiday music

and

10. Holiday scrooges who take out their unhappiness on the people in the cars in front of them, in the stores, at the office, on the internet, walking on the street, in the subway, on the train, in the parking lot! The list goes on, you know what I mean.

What did I miss?

Happy Holidays!

Really ? Monday? Already!?

I hate that the weekends go by so fast.... Its like a bad habbit. Seriously.
You get used to the day(s) off and then you are back to the grind already. Ugh! It's not even fair. Friday shouldn't even be ABLE to count because it is just too much. After 5 full days of work, you barely even get to enjoy Friday!

This weekend was good times... bon fires, good friends, hair salons, margaritas, beer pong, dogs and football. fun :)

So I received these the other day at work, which made me turn BRIGHT red once I saw what it really was and who it was from!
Although we ate some before I took a good picture, but THANKS TB, you have got me blushing! Sweet... :)

I am in the process of making a new blog header. I need a change. I get bored easily...which is annoying! I always need to change my background picture on my phone or my computers, or something. And since I look and stare at my blog ever single day of my life, that will come in a constant change as well! And dont get me wrong, I loveeeeeee my header now !!!!!! But i am weird and I need change and have to switch things up!
So... I am experimenting with different photo programs. I have yet to install photoshop correctly, Sara I need to come to your house and do that ASAP! So I have been using others.. and I don't know what one I like the most. There are a couple are coming out okay.. But I am picky!
Tell me what you think of think?

I feel like that look so lame that I couldn't even post one of those!!!! LOL..... ugh I am so helpless....maybe I should just wait until I get photoshop? I really want a very plain jane page now. I have been inspired by other plain pages and I really love them. I'm weird like that.

This weekend we went to the city and got our hair done. Sara and I bought these gift certificates from a guy in front of Grand Central where you get all this stuff for one price. It worked out well because it rained all day Saturday and was really crappy, so what a better thing to do than sit in a hair salon all day when its raining? I gots my hair cut finally. I am not used to the short bangs but it'll grow. For the most part it looks the same, just added some more layers. Gotta facial and a manicure too.. so that was nice.

2 more weeks until I go to California! So exciting..... I really need to buy some new clothes for that trip. I can't go to Cali looking like a hot mess!!! lol Really what I need is a new job that pays me more so that I can afford to buy more awesome clothing and stuff like that AND afford to live in my nice aparment in November! IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK!!?

On Friday, I will have my second to last credit card paid off FINALLY! Oh I cannot wait! Thank god because they are charging me up the ass whenever I make a purchase with it. GEEZ.... I thought it would seriously never go away... And I probably would have been right if I wasn't able to have these paychecks to put towards that.

I also! Got my giveaway winnings from Carlotta at My Way!!!!!
Soooo incredibly awesome :) The picture is kinda blurry so you can't really see to close what all the stuff is but its awesome and a HUGE thank you to you Carlotta!! Please go check out her blog for more great giveaways!

Okay I should finally get some sleep since that was scarce this weekend...
good nite lovies!
monday is on its way....

Dates, Fishing and Ex-talk. Hmmm

Interesting weekend I had so far. I hope you did too!

Just wanted to thank the ones who have sent in stories for the broken heart files!! So excited to start this... I just thought of some more stories that I have to post.... lol i might just use some pictures to help you understand the scumminess.

Friday
Work FINALLY ended (was that NOT the longest week EVER?) I went I guess I could say on a date on Friday night. It was my BFF's friend, and we went out to dinner a week or so ago but this time I guess it was more on "date" level, whatever that qualifies as I guess?! He picked me up at my house... so I guess that brings it to the next level, right?! I don't know, I haven't been on a date in like.... over 5 years.

So we go to the restaurant and didn't want to wait for a table inside so we sit outside. It wasn't dark out yet, a little chilly but manageable. So we were drinking outside and talking and waiting for our food and it ended up getting pretty cold and now we are still waiting for our food like an hour later and FREEZING to death outside! Apparently it turned into winter in a matter of an hour!? We finally get our food and eat as fast as possible and leave because it was kinda ridiculous how cold it was!

We go to an Irish bar down the road from my house and hang out there watching the Yankee game. We are sitting next to these three guys, kind of talking to them about the game and stuff, and as soon as my friend left to go to the bathroom one of them was like "Can I have your number?!?!!?" GEEZ!!! haha it was so funny that I didn't even know what to say I was just laughing.

It ended up being really fun, we had a good time.

Saturday

I went fishing! My friend TB took me fishing on a lake and it was really fun because i caught a FISH! First time! Couldn't believe it! It was cool, but I felt really bad! I didnt take any pictures though because I left my phone in the car since the boat was really wobbly and I didnt want to ruin it if i fell in LOL. TB took the hook out and threw it back.. THANK GOD because I was TOTALLY not doing that. Poor little fishy! But it was still alive so I felt better about it.

Later that night I went out with some friends to a bar and one of them is T's best friend. So we were talking about him for a while and he was telling me that T had asked about me the night before and how I was doing. Sigh.... :(
R (t's best friend) was telling me that he had explained some situations to T that I had told him about and since T is very "set in his ways" he wouldn't hear anything I would say, so coming from his friend makes a difference because he actually listens! And R said that he was like "oh i didnt think of it that way...." YEAH T... i am glad u are NOW! geez.

R thinks he will call me sometime soon... :/ i dunno, I am not getting my hopes up. I miss him like crazy. I can hide it very well..... being a complete mess isn't going to get me anywhere.. so I have to be fine.

3 weeks and counting... holy crap :(

Today I didn't wake up until 2:30pm... DAMN.. totally missed going to the shelter today, UGH. I always feel so bad when I don't go because then I have to wait another whole week before I can go there. Ughhhhhhhhhh.. Frustrating.

And now, back to work tomorrow... oh geez..

How was your weekend?

I have a Job..

So.

I got my job back.

Same exact job.... it is as if nothing changed.... except all the crazy stress and layoffs and people quitting and everyone freaking out. I mean i guess its good and all because I actually have a job as opposed to NOT, but still. It is going to be a lot more work and same pay and same shit because of all the people that left & got fired, now we have to pick up their slack. Fun.

FML!

I have an interview tomorrow in the city. I hate interviews, they are so crappy and stressful! Hopefully something works out.

Last night was awesome. We went out for a huge group "last" happy hour with everyone that was leaving and it was really sad but really fun. I got hammered so that helped. I have lots of pictures that as soon as I put them on my computer I will add some here. But it was nice to go out with everyone and have fun.

And.... moving this weekend.
Yuck :( horrible. i am SO not happy about that or excited and still sad. yuck yuck yuck.

Do i take this apartment? What to do.. what to do.... any opinions? i love ur opinions :)

Eat a Banana, Drink Gatorade, Take 3 advils

A remedy to save your life!

I barely made it to work today! WOA!

I think I drank too much Blue Moon last night since I could barely stand up today without being incredibly weak and sick! That was prettyyyy shitty I must say.

We had fun though! It was definitely great to let loose and chill out from such a shitty week at work! I text my boss (who was supposed to come out for drinks with us last night but didn't) and told him I would be late. An hour later after I made it from my bed to the couch and that was as far as I could go, I text him again and tell him I'll be in around noon and I was taking a half day.

His response: "you baby"

lol because we have that type of relationship hahah.

After throwing up my piece of bread I had and slept for another 2 hours, I felt a bit better. A friend of mine text me and told me to help my hangover, do this: "eat a banana, drink gatorade, take 3 advils" I really thought that wouldn't work. I WAS SO WRONG!

I ate the banana, slowly, because that texture is just not a favorite thing after being sick. I had no gatorade, but almost instantly I was able to stand up without needing to sit back down 2 second later! I was shocked. I finally got my sorry ass to work and everyone knew the deal, which didn't help because they just fucked with me after that.

I didnt even drink that much, I had 4 beers, but I didnt eat anything so that sure did not help.
So here I am, still at work at 6:30 on a Friday, finishing all the crap I should have done this morning. But that's okay, my girl is here too so we're just chillin.

I can say that I will NOT drink that much at happy hour again!
Hopefully this weekend won't be a complete washout; it's supposed to rain a lot. Blah --rainy weekends suck.

PS: I just read this post about the game MASH and its hilarious and they have an iphone app for that! Hilarious! Read Children of the 90's blog!

Have a happy weekend :)

What did YOU do this weekend?

I have been recovering from my hangover all day and at the same time trying to update the layout of my blog. BAD COMBO!
I wish I knew that when I changed the layout style it would change all of my widgets that I had attached to my previous layout.. UGH what a pain in the ass. Then of course I find the 'right one' and I can't put my picture I want in the header. So incredibly annoying. If anyone has any pointers or any great places where I could find a better layout, please let me know. This is just a random thoughts posting now that I am getting into this one...lol ... there is too much I am thinking about to keep it to one though.

So this weekend we went to a bar called Galway Hookers in NYC for my belated birthday.

We reserved an area, paid $45/pp for 3 hour open bar. HOT. As soon as that bartender walked over to me, I got 2 Irish beers, and it continued along that way until the end of the night... plus the shots and other drinks people bought for me. I am hurting today. Not that bad, so I am proud of my alcoholic consumption not kicking my ass. So we had a good time for the most part, except when J get mad at L for "flirting" with my co-workers friend. Okay. Bad combo right there... any sort of my friends getting mad at something that involves a co-worker, is NO BUENO. This was basically at the end of the night and my co-worker and pals had to leave to make the train plus one of them got sick SO they ran out real quick so I dont know what exactly happened but they left, the girls had a meeting with L and told her he was just jealous and drunk, both true. We get out of the "girls meeting" in the bathroom and they hug and whatev. Then it was time to leave, so all the drunkees go home.

I didn't go to the shelter today to walk the dogs. I always feel bad about it when I don't go. I haven't been in 3 weeks either because of our trip. But I couldn't bring myself to go after drinking so much and getting home so late. Next week. I will start again. I haven't been to the gym since before we left either. Ugh! Such a waste, I need to get onto losing weight ASAP. The BF and I are planning to use my next furlough week ( yes, another unpaid week... totaling 4 weeks vaca for me this year) Peru i think is in the top running. Italy is up there too.
Our choices..

+Peru
+Italy
+Chile
...

So I have court tomorrow in the city with the US government for the BF's accident with the mail truck. Should be fun times....

I am very much loving the twenty something bloggers network. If you have a chance, join it and meet all the cool people that are on the network.

Costa Rica Part 1

I just got back from Costa Rica.. i was there for 11 days.. too short.
What a great country. I love it there. Although the Pacific coast was crazy hot, and unbearably hot!! Caribbean coast was amazing. I love it there. Everyone was really chill and when we asked the locals about if there was crime or anything like that, they said there wasn't any there. Although the Caribbean coat there wasn't very much to do, but the vibe I got there opposed to the Pacific coast was completely different.

I would recommend staying on both sides of the country when going to Costa Rica.

Here are a few things that I thought are important to know, that when reading about vacation online or in a Nat Geo book because let me tell you; we bought that book and the descriptions they give you are English jargon for the 5 start traveler, and very much not correct! So i decided to give some pointers that I thought would be useful if I needed to know something that they wouldn't necessarily write in a book like that.

1. RENT A TRUCK!!!!!! Do not rent a car if you are driving around the coast of Costa Rica. You will have to drive through mountains and hills and dirt roads and a car just wont make it if you want to experience the 'real' outdoorsy CR. Also.. when you DO rent a car, make sure you find out about the CAR INSURANCE policy CR has because when you get your price online and then when you get there, the price is COMPLETELY different.
We booked our truck through a travel agent, and it was $400 for 11 days. When we got to Costa Ricas Economy Rent-a-Car, the price literally doubled, going to $960. WTF is what I was wondering... when the sheet of paper i had said "price guarenteed" -- I soon realized that nothing in a 3rd world country is "guarenteed" and nothing is what it says --
So apparently CR has only ONE insurance company in the whole country and its mad expensive. So... come prepared to put down a deposit PLUS pay for the car at that point in time, receiving the deposit back when you return the car.
So much for THAT money!

2. Buy a map... maybe buy TWO maps. San Jose is worthless. They have signs I'd say every 13 blocks or so. So if you are going the wrong way, its not well noticed street signs they have. No. They are hidden and worn away,,, on the wrong side of the building. Fun stuff like that. So literally you need to know which direction you are going in and just go that way. Dont even bother waiting to find a street sign.
Also, we found out that they change the direction of the one-way streets sometimes and obv the map wasnt updated, OR they will change roads into sidewalks..
It makes for an interesting journey.

3. Route 27 does not exist ... quite yet! Only half of it is built. Although on the map, it shows point blank that the road is there. It is one of the biggest roads/highways in the country! Yet. Not finished yet. So when you are driving on the beginning, all of a sudden it just ends and dumps you into downtown San Jose --the most confusing place ever-- and says nothing about "detour" or anything like that!!!
So.. keep that in mind when you are traveling. It is under construction right now, and it seems like they were making progress on it so consult someone before choosing that route.

4. Learn Spanish!! or get a dictionary. If you are driving in the inland Costa Rica, there aren't many people who speak another language besides Spanish so if you are lost (which its not hard to get lost due to no signs!) and you have to ask someone directions, its best to know SOME Spanish so you can get the directions!! I knew for the most part what people were saying but once they got into more details, I was lost. I will be learning Spanish completely before I go to Peru/South America in June.

5. On Puerto Viejo (Caribbean Coast):

There is only way to get there. One road. Mostly dirt road. Its a great place. I love it there, I would like to move there and open up a hotel. The hotel we stayed at, La Perla Negra, is recommended by me. It is hard to find at night, because the sign is very high up in the air, but its not right in the center of the town and its right on the ocean. Its about $60-70 a night. I found them through hotels.com When i was looking, I was having a hard time finding any places to stay on the Caribbean coast that weren't outrageously expensive. Don't stay in Limon. Its mainly commercial and pretty ghetto-ized.
Everyone is really great there. The weather is great, especially during March. The rainy season I heard it wasnt so much fun. But its definitely worth checking out.

6. Imperial is the Costa Rican beer and Derby are the Costa Rican cigarettes --incase that interests you ;)

More to come.
Ciao 4 now.
