i miss my girls.

i have more so recently realized lately that the close friends i used to hang out with all the time months and months ago, have slowly not been around. i know its because of schedules and life changes and relationships, they're just not around as much anymore. i am sure it has a lot to do with me being busy as well, so i am not blaming anyone.

its just that i miss them. don't get me wrong, i love my time with M and he is slowly but surely becoming my one of my best friends but i just miss the girl time sometimes.

i am sure that this happens a lot to friends when people sort of drift off going their own ways and the only way you communicate is through Gchat, text, bbm, emails or phone calls.

have you experienced this?

Oh, the so sad situation. I lost my best friend from college because I was feeling frustrated with her not giving me any time. She was married with a kid and a baby on the way. Sadly we stopped talking even though we were tighter than worms in their favorite soil home. At least be grateful for technology allowing you to remain in touch with your friends. :)

I feel you on this one. Me and four of my girls were super close and would see each other at least once a week. Now, we go months without seeing eachother. Life happened. School, work, pursuing a career and significant others...less time for girl time!

Yeah, it happens. You just have to adjust. It's hard to make friends as a grownup. At least, it is for me.

Ugh I totally hear you. I drifted apart from so many friends when my longtime boyfriend and I broke up. When you cant do double dates anymore it's hard to keep things going. It's the opposite of your situation but I feel ya. I hope things turn around! Maybe a girls night is in order to get you back on track!

i miss my girls too!!! I miss living with my best friends in college. Living with the boy is amazing, but sometimes I just want to have "girl talk" or chick flick and wine night, etc etc. To say nothing about the distance between my best high school/childhood girlfriends and me (even though when we are together we revert right back to the "old days"). I haven't gotten close enough yet to any girls in grad school to feel comfortable discussing certain things!

I live in a different state than my best friend and I miss her dearly. We gchat all day a lot of days and it always brings me so much comfort when we do. We visit each other all the time. I've made new friends over the last 5 years and just when you get close with them, life changes again. It's hard to keep some things the way they are because during this point in our lives nothing stays the same for very long! Hope you get to see her soon!
