Donate to Haiti Now

God I feel so bad for the people on the island of Haiti. These poor, poor people and their families. I can't even imagine what it is like to be there right now.

It's horrible that I can't really do anything to help and its horrible that people are there and there are no doctors to help them, no resources to help them find anyone, no resources for them to even know what is going on.

I found on the Red Cross the Haiti Relief Donation and I plan on donating tomorrow when I get paid.

Obama said that we would be providing $100 million in aid and 5,000 troops to help along with the other countries that will be helping.

Watching the videos of the destruction and seeing the pictures is heart breaking. They haven't received too much help yet and its amazing to see the Haitians taking helping others into their own hands trying to rescue as many people as possible.

The videos and news coverage are insane. That is so unfair that something so catastrophic happens to such a poor country. And there is barely any way for people to get things to anyone because the roads are so damaged and the electricity is out.

I think it's great how the bloggers are using their influence to spread the word. I was also on the Huffington post and the images they had on there were so terrible... With all the pictures and videos coming through I'm not sure how anyone can but feel compelled to donate.

What has happened in Haiti is heartbreaking. I come from the Dominican Republic and I am quite in touch with the Haitian community in the country.

Today, Dominicans are lending a helping hand to the Haitian community--so should everyone else.

I know the world will come together to help this country. Unfortunately, with a global economic crisis, this event has truly turned catastrophic, for less people have the economic means to help.

I donated on Tuesday via the Red CRoss text message and it felt so good. $10 means much less to me than it does to someone having to experience this in Haiti.

Great job spreading the word. I donated to the Red Cross earlier this week.
