Interactive Thursday!

Topic:

What is your favorite book? (I need a new book to read)

Mine:

Prozac Nation By Elizabeth Wurtzel

I read this book a long long long time ago and it was really well written and such a great book. It is too bad that she doesn't write anymore books because I would continue to read them. Her other books that she wrote, More, Now and Again, and Bitch, were really good books too. For some reason I like to read about sex, drugs, new york, boston and writing. haha, what a weird combo, but I usually go for stories with some of those things involved in it.

Some other great authors & books I love are Twilight, Jennifer Weiner books, Harry Potter, Candance Bushnell, White Oleander, and lots and lots of Chic Lit or true stories about criminals or drugs. Such a random choice in books!

I got two. The "Time Traveler's Wife" by Audrey Nieffenger & "Dracula" by Bram Stoker. =)

Steinbeck's "East of Eden." It's a classic, if you ask me, and really, you can't go wrong with Steinbeck.

I've been wanting to read Prozac Nation for a while now. Gotta get on that!

Ever read Jodi Picoult? If not, PLEASE do. OMG, she is my favorite.

OMG!! I am totally seconding Mandy's pick. Clan of the Cave Bears Series is awesome...and it's not over yet. My dad read the books when I was a child and paraphrased the story, but I read it myself as an adult and absolutely love it.

I recently finished the Amazing Adventures of Kavilier and Clay by Michael Chabon, he's an unbelievable writer.

White Oleander is one of my favorites as well.
As for right now, I seriously cannot get enough of 'cook' books. They really are my fav, I'm always reading new ones and writing down recipes.

I'm adding Prozac Nation to my list right this second. Anywhozerrs, my all time fave is "100 anos de soledad" or "100 years of solitude" by Gabriel Garcia Marques. I lost count how many times I've read it. I love it. Also The Iliad [weird, I know].

Hey. Try eat, pray and love or the white mughals. Both are interesting reads.

I know I'm a total cliche, but the two books I cannot get enough of are To Kill A Mockingbird and Catcher in the Rye. I was the only kid in my class at high school who had read To Kill A Mockingbird before we were actually made to read it for English. I just love it.

I really love any book by Jhumpa Lahiri. What got me hooked was her book of short stories called Interpreter of Maladies. I love anything by Neil Gaiman. Stardust was amazing. His kid books are even good, like Coraline or The Graveyard. For Chick Lit, I love Helen Fielding books.

I love Isabel Allende's novels, and I'm currently hooked on the Sookie Stackhouse series.

'After You'd gone' by Maggie O'Farrel--beautifully written. About a girl who uncovers a family secret and tries to commit suicide.

And 'Catcher in the Rye' is always a favorite.

Really random, but your header is awesome. :) As for a great book, I've always been more of a movie person - - though if and when I pick up a book it tend to devour it, haha. But if I were to pick one, I really like "Kite Runner".

Weetzie Bat by Francesca Lia Block, for SURE.

You should do an interactive thing like the broken hearts thing where people can submit to you a short review of their fav book. (i'll write on weetzie bat bc i'm obsessed with it & have been since 6th grade! hahah)
